Sir Richard Peto, Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, Sir Richard Peto had the first degree in Natural Sciences from University of Cambridge and the second degree, MS,c. in Statistic from University of London. His work persuaded doctors to use tamoxifen in the treatment of breast cancer. His work also influenced national policies against tobacco by demonstrating its harmful effects in china and many other countries.
